Varna Airport Parking (VAR)
Your complete guide to parking at Varna International Airport — official rates, off-site operators and transfer options
Official car parks: 7 days = €43 (tariff of 13 July 2026). Off-site lots with a free shuttle are usually cheaper from day two.
How parking at Varna Airport works
Varna Airport (IATA: VAR, ICAO: LBWN) is Bulgaria's third-busiest international airport, handling over a million passengers a year with a pronounced summer peak driven by Black Sea tourism. If you are driving to the airport, the parking situation is straightforward but worth understanding before you arrive: the airport authority, Fraport Bulgaria, operates two official car parks directly in front of Terminal 2, while several independent operators offer secured off-site parking a few kilometres away, typically at lower daily rates and with a free shuttle included. This guide covers both options, the current official tariff (updated July 2026), and what to know about getting from the car park to your gate.

What a week and a month actually cost
Parking at Terminal 2 costs €24 for up to 24 hours, and every day after the first two adds €3, so a week in the official Standard car park comes to €43. On the same tariff a month works out at roughly €112. The off-site lots undercut that on longer stays: V Park asks €37 for seven days and €75 for a month, PARK PLACE €38 and €70, East Rent €40 and €70 for an outdoor space. For a day or two the official car park is usually the simpler choice — you are already at the terminal and there is no shuttle to wait for. The full tariff and a side-by-side comparison are on the prices page.

Official Airport Car Parks — Car Park 1 and Car Park 2
Fraport Bulgaria runs two open-air car parks right in front of Terminal 2 — Car Park 1 (490 spaces) and Car Park 2 (194 spaces), both CCTV-monitored and staffed 24/7; the current tariff took effect on 13 July 2026. Every vehicle gets a free 10-minute grace period, validating the ticket adds 5 more minutes (once per visit), and disabled badge holders get up to 40 minutes. Pay at the four machines on site, in the URBO app or at the exit booth; a lost ticket costs a minimum of €15 / 29.34 BGN.
Off-Site Operators — Cheaper Rates, Free Shuttle
East Rent Parking, V Park and iRent Airport Parking keep fenced, CCTV-monitored lots 3–5 km from the terminal and shuttle you to Terminal 2 and back for free. East Rent and V Park offer covered spaces, iRent adds a meet-and-greet service at Terminal 2 departures. All three accept online booking, and from the second day they usually come out noticeably cheaper than the official tariff — the full comparison and booking links are on the Operators page.
Short-Term vs Long-Term: Which Option Makes Sense
For stays under four hours the official car parks are the practical choice: right by the terminal, no booking needed, and the 10-minute grace period covers most quick pick-ups and drop-offs. From roughly the first overnight stay the off-site lots win on price, while the shuttle adds no more than 10–15 minutes door to gate. In peak summer a covered off-site space also protects the car from the Varna heat.
Varna Airport Layout and Terminal Access
Terminal 1 operates year-round and Terminal 2 handles the summer charter traffic from June to September; the official car parks sit in front of Terminal 2, and the parking office is on the first floor of Terminal 1 (Mon–Fri 08:00–16:30). The airport is about 10 km northwest of the city centre — under 20 minutes by car, and there is no direct public transport. Both official car parks have accessible spaces; passenger services: +359 52 573 440.
