Official vs Private Parking at Varna Airport

Which car park actually makes sense for your trip — the Fraport lots at the terminal or an off-site operator with a free shuttle

Both options are legitimate and both get you to the same Terminal 2 — the difference is price structure and convenience. The official car parks charge by the started hour and are unbeatable for short visits; the off-site operators price by the day and usually win from the second day onward. Here is the full picture, based on the official tariff of 13 July 2026 and operator listings verified in July 2026.

When the official car parks win

For anything under four hours the official lots are the practical choice: they sit directly in front of Terminal 2, need no pre-booking, and the first 10 minutes are free (twice per 24 hours) — enough for most pick-ups and drop-offs. An hour costs €2.50 and a full day €24, charged per started hour.

The Premium zone at the kerb is meant for minutes, not hours: €3 per started 30 minutes, capped at €150 per day. Use it as a kiss-and-fly lane, not as parking.

When an off-site operator wins

From the second day the math flips. Seven days at the official car park cost €43 under the 13 July 2026 tariff; the off-site lots of East Rent, V Park, iRent and Top Parking price whole days and are usually cheaper for multi-day stays, with the shuttle to Terminal 2 included.

Off-site is also the only way to get covered parking (East Rent’s underground bay, V Park’s canopy and garage) or meet-and-greet, where a driver takes the car off your hands right at departures.

The honest bottom line

Short stop or one night — park official and keep it simple. Two days or more, a car you want shaded, or a tight connection — book an off-site lot in advance, especially in the June–September charter season when both the airport and the operators fill up.

Whichever you choose, confirm the current rate when booking: the official tariff changes (the current list is dated 13 July 2026) and private operators price seasonally.
