How to Submit a Takedown Notice

To be effective, your notice must be in writing (email is accepted) and include all of the following:

1. Identification of the copyrighted work you claim is being infringed.

2. Identification of the material you want removed, including the specific URL(s) on this site where it appears, so we can locate it.

3. Your contact information — name, mailing address, telephone number, and email address.

4. A statement that you have a good-faith belief that the use complained of is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.

5. A statement that the information in your notice is accurate, and, under penalty of perjury, that you are the copyright owner or are authorized to act on the owner's behalf.

6. Your physical or electronic signature (you may type your full legal name).

What Happens Next

Once we receive a valid notice, we will acknowledge it and act promptly to remove or disable access to the reported material. Removal in response to a notice does not by itself constitute a legal finding of infringement; we apply the DMCA procedure and cannot decide the underlying dispute between the parties.

Counter-Notification

If you believe material was removed by mistake or misidentification, you may send a counter-notification to the same contact. It should include: identification of the removed material and its former URL; a statement, under penalty of perjury, that you have a good-faith belief it was removed by mistake or misidentification; your name, address, telephone number, and email; consent to the jurisdiction of the appropriate Federal District Court and acceptance of service of process from the complaining party; and your signature.

Misrepresentations

Under DMCA Section 512(f), a person who knowingly and materially misrepresents that material is infringing, or that it was removed by mistake, may be liable for damages. Please submit notices and counter-notices in good faith.

We may update this policy from time to time for legal or operational reasons. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page shows the most recent revision.
